The technical route of N-type modules
The technical route of N-type photovoltaic modules refers to the technology of making photovoltaic modules using N-type silicon wafers as raw materials.
Currently, there are several main technical routes for N-type photovoltaic modules:
IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact) Technology: IBC technology is a type of N-type photovoltaic module technology based on P-type silicon wafers. By creating interdigitated metal electrodes on the back of the silicon wafer, this technology effectively reduces series resistance and optical losses, thereby improving the efficiency and stability of the module. IBC technology has been commercialized and is primarily applied in the high-end market and high-power modules.
HJT (Heterojunction) Technology: HJT technology is a solar cell technology based on N-type silicon wafers. By depositing a thin film on the surface of the silicon wafer, it alters the light absorption and carrier transport characteristics, thereby improving the conversion efficiency of the cell. HJT technology offers advantages such as high conversion efficiency, low manufacturing cost, and long lifespan, making it an important development direction for the future of the photovoltaic industry. Currently, HJT technology is gradually being commercialized, mainly applied in high-efficiency photovoltaic modules and high-power modules.
TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) Technology: TOPCon technology is a solar cell technology based on N-type silicon wafers. By creating a tunnel oxide layer and a passivation layer on the surface of the silicon wafer, this technology reduces surface recombination and series resistance, improving the conversion efficiency of the cell. TOPCon technology offers high conversion efficiency, low manufacturing cost, and long lifespan, making it one of the important development directions for the future photovoltaic industry. Currently, TOPCon technology is gradually being commercialized, primarily applied in high-efficiency photovoltaic modules and high-power modules.
